For most people, Halloween conjures scary images of witches, goblins, and ghosts. But for many workers, there are other fears lurking in the shadows all year: like the fear of being reprimanded, laid off, or stuck in a dead-end Job. According to Ford R. Myers, president of Career Potential, LLC, and the author of "Get the Job You Want, Even When No One's Hiring," "the American workplace is largely driven by fear. Most bosses use fear as a mechanism to control and drive the employee's activity." - Job
Fear #1: What if I get laid off?
Given the unemployment rate, layoffs are a chillingly real possibility for many workers. However, you can cope with that fear by actively building your network. "Regardless of whether you believe you'll be laid off, you should proactively engage in your professional community," says Michael Woodward, PhD, an executive coach and the author of the "The You Plan." "Belong to your professional association or community organizations. ... The difference between those who stay unemployed and those who are quickly able to get back on their feet is that the latter have strong networks."
Fear #2: If I don't get laid off, but others do, will I be able to handle the added responsibilities?
When companies downsize, often the best employees get "rewarded" with more work. This can cause job-performance anxiety, especially if the new tasks are outside your skill set or if you're afraid of adding another project to your to-do list. In this situation, Woodward suggests reaching out to your boss and coworkers for guidance. "Knowledge helps create certainty," he says. "You could wallow in that stress or you could say, 'I need some clarification on a couple of points.' It's an opportunity to broaden your skill set and to make yourself more valuable in the future."
Fear #3: Will I be underemployed forever?
Often younger workers end up in support roles where they may not feel challenged. More-experienced workers can also wind up in this predicament due to a layoff or workforce re-entry. However, thinking ahead to your next position keeps things in perspective when it feels like you're endlessly folding t-shirts or fetching coffee. "The smart person does not just ... do what the boss tells them and nothing more," says Myers. "They should consistently grow their credentials. Step up for the juicier, more challenging assignments. Show up earlier; leave later." Remember, the old model of your boss or human resources managing your career is no longer applicable. It's up to you to determine your next steps.
Fear #4: What if my boss yells at me again?
A boss who yells or criticizes you in front of others can really damage morale, so Myers advises that people be "very, very careful about the culture that they choose." Another thing, he says, "is to be very proactive and clear with your boss when you first get hired about how you establish the relationship and set the right precedent." If you're already in a job with a toxic boss, you can sometimes manage a situation (and prevent future problems) by discussing it in a calm, nonthreatening manner. "Don't bring it up in public and don't point fingers," Myers advises. "Say to your boss, I have a concern about something that happened. I'm not sure what your motivation was. I may have misunderstood, but this was my perception; I'd like to get your take on it."

Re New Your Work In 2011
Sometimes, a job--even a pretty good one--can start to feel like it's "going nowhere." But although you may want to advance your career, you may not be in a position to look for a New Job. Maybe you're in an industry where staffing is still tight. Or maybe you just started a new job, and you'd like to put in a few years before moving on. Or maybe you can't take a financial risk right now.
Whatever the case, there are small changes you can make that will boost your Career without giving it a major overhaul. We asked several experts for their tips:
1. Improve relations with your boss.
Your direct supervisor is one of the most important people in your professional life. If that relationship is feeling strained, get back into your boss's good graces by figuring out how to best communicate with him or her, suggests Katherine Reynolds Lewis, a workplace journalist for About.com and the Fiscal Times. "So often, managers have so little time to do the management, so you have to manage up," she says. Ask your supervisor if you can schedule a weekly check-in meeting. Or if your manager is more spontaneous, strike up a conversation and subtly mention your latest accomplishments. "Don't assume that your boss knows when you've done a great Job," urges Lewis.
2. Beat procrastination or lateness.
If you struggle with tardiness or procrastination, then Fearless Career coach Victoria Ashford suggests owning up to the weakness and enlisting coworkers to help you stay accountable. "The biggest hindrance is not having a good support system," she explains. "Tell people, 'This is a problem for me,' and get them to share their techniques." Understanding the consequences can also help. "If you're not there on time, the door gets closed for a meeting," says Ashford, "and the embarrassment of you peeking through the glass reinforces the need to be on time." - Job Vacancy

5 New Year's Career Resolutions for 2011 !
By: Lydia Dishman
There's just something about opening a calendar for a new year that inspires us to improve our lives. So it's no surprise that New Year's career resolutions often focus on big goals--such as a promotion or a new Job.
And that's why many resolutions get tossed aside by the second week in January, according to Tracy Brisson, founder and CEO of The Opportunities Project. "We get overwhelmed when we realize that outcomes are not always in our control," she explains. But Brisson says that there are plenty of attainable goals--such as adding people to your network or committing to read one business-related book per month--that can add up to Career success.
Sara Sutton Fell, CEO of Flexjobs.com, recommends a mix of easy-to-achieve and lofty goals. She says, "The important part is to choose goals that are directly related to making you more successful in your job."
Here are some other suggestions from the experts:
Hone your elevator pitch.
For Jasmin French, principal of the personal branding firm J. French, it starts with honing your personal brand. French advises doing a simple inventory, "What did you do in 2010 that has transferable value to your employer or potential employer in 2011?" Then, she says, turn that into a succinct (60 seconds or less) pitch on what you are uniquely positioned to do better than anyone else.
French also suggests that you get people to start talking about you by updating your LinkedIn profile with any certifications you've earned or classes you're taking, as well as forwarding relevant articles. "Create your own buzz. It's self-promotion, but it's not shameless."
Brush up on hard skills.
Victoria Ashford, a leadership and career coach at Fearless Leading, suggests heading back to school for additional education, certification, diplomas, or language skills. "Once you have the knowledge and skill, it's yours forever--hard to take away," she notes. "Industries and work environments change, so make sure you're keeping up. Be intentional about your knowledge base and upgrade or update it now."
Solidify your soft skills.
While you're admiring that new diploma hanging on the wall, Ashford cautions that you shouldn't forget about "soft" skills, such as business etiquette, body language, and personal accountability. "Master the arts of introductions, conversation, and establishing professional presence. Ask others to judge your handshake, table manners, and posture," she advises.
A University of Illinois study concluded that 55 percent of the first impression you make is based on your appearance and your body language. And while first impressions are made within the first 30 seconds of meeting someone, it can take up to as many as 21 interactions to undo a bad first impression. French says, "If you want to be known for being detail-oriented, hem your pants, polish your fingernails, or iron that shirt."
Work better with others.
Susan Bender Phelps, a trainer and speaker with Odyssey Mentoring, urges employees to treat everyone they work with as if they are a customer. "Everyone includes your company's management team, your direct supervisor, even your cubicle-mate. Provide knock-your-socks-off service."
Bender Phelps says that one place to start is by sharing credit with your team and with everyone in the organization who contributed to a success. "When you do this consistently, you become the kind of leader people will want to follow, regardless of your title." Likewise, acknowledge people when they do great work, and be specific: "Give evidence that demonstrates you understand their work and the difference it made to the organization."
Approach failure as an opportunity.
"Use every failure or mistake as an opportunity to learn and plan for the future," emphasizes Bender Phelps. She recommends paying attention to what you were trying to accomplish, what you did to make that happen, what went right, and what went wrong. By taking time to consider what went into a failed initiative, you can learn what could have been done better--and in the future, if you're presented with a similar situation or project, you'll know what you should do differently.

Japan Passes New $61bn Stimulus Package !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
Job Vacancy - The stimulus was designed to create jobs, Prime Minister Nato Kan said, through measures to help small businesses and boost consumer spending. Job Indonesia - The government has already introduced several stimulus packages. Earlier, figures showed that Japanese consumer prices fell for the 20th month in a row in October. - Lowongan Kerja
The vote in favour of the latest stimulus measures represents a victory for the government, which has struggled getting the package through parliament.
The move is in marked contrast to European governments' policies, which are focusing on cutting spending to secure growth.
Falling prices
Japan has been struggling with weak growth, a high yen and deflation.
The core consumer price index fell by 0.6% in October compared with a year earlier, official figures showed.
This was a slight improvement on the 1.1% price falls seen in September.
Deflation is particularly damaging to economic growth as consumers delay purchases until prices fall further.
The improvement from September does not reflect any improvement in consumer demand, analysts said.
"Even though the pace of the fall in prices slowed by 0.5 percentage points, this was not due to an improved demand-supply balance," said Asushi Matsumoto at the Mizuho Research Institute.
Instead, he said, it was down to one-off factors, such as a hike in cigarette prices.
This means that "exit from deflation will be slower than previously thought," Mr Matsumoto argued.
Weak exports
Japan is also struggling with a strong yen, which makes exports more expensive to overseas consumers.
Figures released on Thursday showed export growth slowing for the eighth month in a row, with exports to Europe falling for first time for almost a year.
Analysts say weaker exports could also contribute to reduced consumer demand.
"Weak growth in exports could worsen corporate earnings, thus lowering household incomes to dampen consumer demand," Mr Matsumoto said.

Euro Steady After Irish Republic 85bn Euro Bail-Out !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
Lowongan Kerja - Ministers have reached an agreement over a bail-out worth about 85bn euros ($113bn; £72bn).
Job Indonesia - The deal will see 35bn euros go towards propping up the Irish banking system, with the remaining 50bn euros to help the government's day-to-day spending.
In early trade on Monday the euro was ahead by 0.40% at $1.3241.
It had earlier slipped to $1.3181, its lowest level since 21 September, before rebounding.
Reassurance
Meanwhile, European Central Bank policymaker Christian Noyer sought to bolster market confidence in the eurozone's rescue for the Republic.
Mr Noyer is the first member of the ECB's policy council to speak after eurozone ministers sealed the deal for Dublin on Sunday.

“Start Quote
End QuoteMr Osborne hopes the eurosceptics in his own party will be reassured that Britain won't participate in eurozone bail-outs after 2013”
He said he was confident the deal would bring down Dublin's borrowing costs to more normal levels.
"There is no reason to doubt the recovery plans of the two countries," Mr Noyer said in a speech in Tokyo, referring to Ireland and Greece.
And French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde said the bail-out was "sufficient" and that "irrational" markets were not correctly pricing the sovereign debt situation in Europe.
"The amount [of the bail-out] is sufficient because that will keep Ireland afloat for three years," she told RTL radio.
France and Germany have also said the Republic of Ireland bail-out should draw a line under its debt crisis.
And they have expressed confidence in Portugal's ability to correct its finances and avoid needing outside help.
'Best available deal'
An average interest rate of 5.8% will be payable on the loans, above the 5.2% paid by Greece for its bail-out.
Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen said it was the "best available deal for Ireland".
It provides "vital time and space to successfully and conclusively address the problems we've been dealing with since the financial crisis began", he said.
The Irish government has also said that interest payments on all state debt will account for more than 20% of tax revenues in 2014.
The deal does not require the Republic to change its low 12.5% corporation tax. - Job Vacancy

Comic Actor and Airplane! Star, Leslie Nielsen, Dies !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
He died in hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was being treated for pneumonia, his agent John S Kelly said. - Lowongan Kerja
Canadian-born Nielsen started out as a serious actor but in 1980, his role as a hapless doctor in the disaster spoof film Airplane! made him a comic star.
In all, he appeared in more than 100 films and had a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. "With his friends and his wife by his side, he just fell asleep and passed away," his nephew Doug Nielsen said, the AFP news agency reported.
'Don't call me Shirley', born in the Canadian city of Regina in 1926, Leslie Nielsen enjoyed an acting career which spanned six decades. He started as a television actor in New York in 1950, performing in about 150 live dramas.
In the mid-1950s, he moved to Hollywood, where he initially carved out a film career as a leading man, capitalising on his craggy good looks and 6ft2in (194cm) height.
Then in 1980 his deadpan delivery in the comedy disaster movie Airplane! marked him out as a gifted clown, says the BBC's Rajesh Mirchandani in Los Angeles.
It was in this role that he became known for the line "Don't call me Shirley".
The success of Airplane! led to another TV role in the spoof crime show Police Squad where he first played accident-prone detective Frank Drebin.
He went on to make three films as the same character in the Naked Gun series, starring opposite Priscilla Presley.
He continued working into his eighties.
Nearly two weeks ago - at the age of 84 - Nielsen was taken into hospital in Florida where he lived, suffering from pneumonia.
His condition had worsened over the last two days and relatives said he passed away peacefully, our correspondent says.

US Condemns Wikileaks Diplomatic Cables Release !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
Job Vacancy - Between the revelations is a report Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah urged the US to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities. - Lowongan Kerja
Job Indonesia - The founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, said the US authorities were afraid of being held to account.
But the White House said the release was "reckless" put the lives of diplomats and others at risk.
One Republican congressman called for Wikileaks to be designated a terrorist organisation.
Peter King, a member of the House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee, said the latest release "manifests Mr Assange's purposeful intent to damage not only our national interests in fighting the war on terror, but also undermines the very safety of coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan".
The US Department of Defence says it is making its computer systems more secure to prevent future leaks.
Computer hacking
Wikileaks has only posted some 200 of the 251,287 messages it says it has obtained. However, the entire bundle of cables has been made available to five publications, including the New York Times and the UK's Guardian newspaper.
Wikileaks
- Website with a reputation for publishing sensitive material
- Run by Julian Assange, an Australian with a background in computer network hacking
- Released 90,000 secret US records of US military incidents about the war in Afghanistan and 400,000 similar documents on Iraq
- Also posted video showing US helicopter killing 12 people - including two journalists - in Baghdad in 2007
- Other controversial postings include screenshots of the e-mail inbox and address book of US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin
Concerns aired in the documents include the security of Pakistani nuclear material that could be used to make an atomic weapon.
The widespread use of computer hacking by China's government is also reported.
The leaked US embassy cables also reportedly include accounts of:
- Iran attempting to adapt North Korean rockets for use as long-range missiles
- Corruption within the Afghan government with concerns heightened when a senior official was found to be carrying more than $52m (£33m) in cash on a foreign trip; - President Hamid Karzai is described as ''extremely weak'' and prone to being persuaded by conspiracy theories
- Bargaining to empty the Guantanamo Bay prison camp - including Slovenian diplomats being told to take in a freed prisoner if they wanted to secure a meeting with President Barack Obama
- Germany being warned in 2007 not to enforce arrest warrants for US Central Intelligence Agency officers involved in an operation in which an innocent German citizen with the same name as a suspected militant was abducted and held in Afghanistan
- US officials being instructed to spy on the UN leadership by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
- The very close relationship between Russian PM Vladimir Putin and his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi
- Alleged links between the Russian government and organised crime
- Yemen's president talking to then US Mid-East commander General David Petraeus about attacks on Yemeni al-Qaeda bases and saying: "We'll continue saying the bombs are ours, not yours"
- Faltering US attempts to prevent Syria from supplying arms to Hezbollah in Lebanon
Shedding light on wars?
The leaked embassy cables are both contemporary and historical, and include a 1989 note from a US diplomat in Panama City musing about the options open to Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega and referring to him as "a master of survival" - the author apparently had no idea that US forces would invade a week later and arrest Noriega.
In a statement, the White House said: "Such disclosures put at risk our diplomats, intelligence professionals, and people around the world who come to the United States for assistance in promoting democracy and open government.
"President Obama supports responsible, accountable, and open government at home and around the world, but this reckless and dangerous action runs counter to that goal."
No-one has been charged with passing the diplomatic files to the website but suspicion has fallen on US Army private Bradley Manning, an intelligence analyst arrested in Iraq in June and charged over an earlier leak of classified US documents to Mr Assange's organisation.
The cables release was the third mass Wikileaks release of classified documents since it published 77,000 secret US files on the Afghan conflict in July, and 400,000 documents about the Iraq war in October.
Wikileaks argues the release of the documents has shed light on the wars, including allegations of torture and reports that suggest 15,000 additional civilian deaths in Iraq.

Before Bangladesh Strike, Mass Arrests !!!
By: Anbarasan Ethirajan, BBC News, Dhaka
Lowongan Kerja - Officials say they are arresting only those who might indulge in violence during the strike. - Job Vacancy
Job Indonesia - The BNP has been holding rallies across the country for the last few days in protest at what they describe as anti-democratic moves by the government.
In many places police used tear gas and batons to disperse activists.
The BNP has called for a strike on Tuesday in protest against what it calls the Awami League-led government's inability to govern the country and its dictatorial methods.
It will be the second such opposition-sponsored action in about two weeks.
Business leaders and civil society activists have already urged the BNP to cancel, saying it will severely disrupt normal life and commercial activities.
The strike comes two weeks after BNP party leader Begum Khaleda Zia was evicted from her residence in military-owned house in the capital, Dhaka.
The house was leased to Ms Zia, a year after the assassination of her husband - former president General Zia-ur-Rahman - in a military coup in 1981.
The government said the lease to the house was illegal.
Her supporters argue that she should be allowed staying in the house and the government's decision to evict her was political.
Analysts warn that if the two main parties do not resolve their differences soon, then the country may witness a series of strikes in the coming weeks.

Special Home Style Turkey, The Michigander Way
By: Robin C. (http://allrecipes.com)
Lowongan Kerja - "A simple, down to basics recipe when it comes to the good old tom turkey." - Job Indonesia
Servings (16)
Ingredients
- 1 (12 pound) whole turkey - Job Vacancy
- 6 tablespoons butter, divided
- 4 cups warm water
- 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley
- 2 tablespoons dried minced onion
- 2 tablespoons seasoning salt
Directions

- In a medium bowl, combine the water with the bouillon. Sprinkle in the parsley and minced onion. Pour over the top of the turkey. Sprinkle seasoning salt over the turkey.
- Cover with foil, and bake in the preheated oven 3 1/2 to 4 hours, until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 180 degrees F (80 degrees C). For the last 45 minutes or so, remove the foil so the turkey will brown nicely.

The Step By Step Carving Turkey For Housewives and Chef
Author: http://allrecipes.com

Job Indonesia - Take the mystery out of carving that bird. Follow the step carefully. - Lowongan Kerja
1. First of all, don't feel required to carve tableside. Though a common tradition in many families, it's perfectly fine to carve the turkey in the kitchen and bring the arranged platter to the table. This especially holds true if you're a novice at carving. - Job Vacancy
The Tools
Use a carving knife or a chef's knife. The longer the knife, the better it will work, as a long, smooth slicing motion will make for better slices. We used a long carving knife with oval indentations along the blade to reduce friction.
Tip: Be sure to let the turkey rest for at least 25 minutes before slicing: this helps the juices redistribute through the meat, making for a better-tasting turkey. (It also makes it easier to carve.)
2. Remove the drumsticks and thighs. Start by pulling a drumstick away from the bird and using the knife to disconnect the thigh bone from the body. Set it aside to carve later, and remove the second drumstick.
3. Remove the wings in the same fashion to fully expose the breast for carving. The wings on modern, commercial birds contain very little meat, so they're often used mainly for presentation on the platter.
4. To carve the bird, make sure it's lying on its back, breast-side up. Begin with a long horizontal cut at the base of the breast. You might be able to feel where the breast meat ends and the bone begins--cut as close to that area as you can.
5. Begin slicing the breast from the top down, working at a slight angle to cut away from the carcass. The horizontal cut at the bottom provides a convenient stopping point, making it easy to finish each cut. Transfer slices to a warmed serving platter.
6. To carve a drumstick, hold one end and slice off one side. Lay it flat on the cutting board and continue carving. Slice each side, turning the drumstick a quarter turn until you've removed all the meat.
7. Place the thigh on the cutting board and begin slicing parallel to the thigh bone. Cut into even strips.
8. Arrange the rest of the meat onto the warmed platter and serve.

Perfect Turkey Recipe For Chef And Housewives
By: Shelly White (http://bit.ly/fhxjaL) - Job Vacancy
Perfect Turkey
Job Indonesia - "A perfectly seasoned and juicy turkey. My friend from France taught me to cook turkey like this, but she never measures anything so use your own judgment for vegetable amounts, etc. I usually err on the side of 'more is better'!" - Lowongan Kerja
Servings (25)
Ingredients
- 1 (18 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
- 2 cups and 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup and 1 teaspoon butter, melted
- 2 large onions, peeled and chopped
- 4-1/4 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 4-1/4 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup and 1 tablespoon dry white wine
Directions
This recipe's Ingredients were scaled to yield a new amount. The directions below still refer to the original recipe yield of 1 (18 pound) turkey.
- Rub the turkey inside and out with the kosher salt. Place the bird in a large stock pot, and cover with cold water. Place in the refrigerator, and allow the turkey to soak in the salt and water mixture 12 hours, or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Thoroughly rinse the turkey, and discard the brine mixture.
- Brush the turkey with 1/2 the melted butter. Place breast side down on a roasting rack in a shallow roasting pan. Stuff the turkey cavity with 1 onion, 1/2 the carrots, 1/2 the celery, 1 sprig of thyme, and the bay leaf. Scatter the remaining vegetables and thyme around the bottom of the roasting pan, and cover with the white wine.
- Roast uncovered 3 1/2 to 4 hours in the preheated oven, until the internal temperature of the thigh reaches 180 degrees F (85 degrees C). Carefully turn the turkey breast side up about 2/3 through the roasting time, and brush with the remaining butter. Allow the bird to stand about 30 minutes before carving.

Costa Rica is Top Ten Natural Beauties In Lonely Planet !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
This iconic cloud forest was first settled by a community of Quakers who sought to protect their invaluable watershed. Home to such rare fauna as the resplendent quetzal, which is the Maya bird of paradise, Monteverde is partly responsible for Costa Rica's international fame as an ecotourism hot spot where you can be inspired about the possibilities of organic farming and alternative energy sources.
2. Manuel Antonio
One of the country's original ecotourism destinations, Manuel Antonio practically put Costa Rica on the map for international jet-setters. While the secret has long been let out, capuchin monkeys bounding across a tropical beach remain an arresting sight, as are iguanas, howlers, sloths and squirrel monkeys, which may be the cutest fur balls you have ever seen.
Manuel Antonio is a coconut-filled paradise. The park's clearly marked trail system winds through rainforest-backed tropical beaches and rocky headlands, and the views across the bay to the pristine outer islands are unforgettable.
3. Arenal
Arenal has been producing menacing ash columns, massive explosions and streamers of glowing molten rock almost daily since 1968. Miraculously, the volcano has retained its picture-perfect conical shape despite constant volcanic activity, though its slopes are now ashen instead of green. In the shadow of Arenal, there is something for everybody including luxurious hotels, romantic restaurants and Tabacón Hot Springs, man's recreation of the Garden of Eden.
4. Corcovada
Famously labeled by National Geographic as "the most biologically intense place on earth", this national park is the last great original tract of tropical rainforest in Pacific Central America. The bastion of biological diversity is home to Costa Rica's largest population of scarlet macaws, as well as countless other endangered species, including Baird's tapir, the giant anteater and the world's largest bird of prey, the harpy eagle. Corcovado's amazing biodiversity has long attracted a devoted stream of visitors who descend from BahÃa Drake and Puerto Jiménez to explore the remote location and spy on a wide array of wildlife.
5. Montezuma
A laid-back, budget beach town with a hippie vibe (locals call it "Montefuma"), beautiful beaches, a chill atmosphere and great restaurants. It is the perfect base for exploring the southern part of the PenÃnsula de Nicoya.
Up until the late 1990s a traffic jam in Montezuma was getting off your bike to shoo some cows off the road. Montezuma is still a charming village, and foreign travelers continue to be drawn here by the laid-back atmosphere, cheap hotels and sprawling beaches. And while nothing ever stays the same, Montezuma has managed to hang on to its tranquil appeal.
6. Jacó
There is a loyal surfing contingent, resident North American expats and international developers who bill Jacó as the ultimate central Pacific destination and one of the country's most rapidly developing cities. Truth be told, the surfing is excellent, the restaurants and bars are cosmopolitan, and a skyline of future high-rise apartments and luxury hotels is rapidly being constructed. While it could not be classified as the "real" Costa Rica, it is fun. There may be better surf spots and cleaner beaches, but its bar, restaurant and club scene is the best you will find along the entire Pacific coast.
7. Cahuita and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
By day, lounge in a hammock, snorkel off uncrowded beaches and visit the remote indigenous territories of the Bribrà and KéköLdi. By night, dip into zesty Caribbean cooking and sway to reggaetón at open-air bars cooled by ocean breezes. Nearby, you will find rainforest fruit farms set to a soundtrack of cackling birds and croaking frogs. The villages of Cahuita and Puerto Viejo de Talamanca seem to have it all.
8. Tortuguero
Watch endangered sea turtles practice the millennia-old ritual of building a nest and laying their eggs on wild black-sand shores in this charming Caribbean jungle town. Tortuguero is more than just turtles; it is thick with wildlife, and you will find sloths and howler monkeys in the treetops, tiny frogs and green iguanas scurrying among buttress roots, and mighty tarpon and endangered manatee swimming in the waters.
9. Dominical
A permanently chilled-out beach town where time slows down to a crawl, Dominical has a way of forestalling your future plans. But when the surf is crashing and the sun is blazing, few travelers seem to really care.
10. Llanos de Cortés
If you have time to visit only one waterfall in Costa Rica, make it Llanos de Cortés. One of the most dramatic waterfalls in Costa Rica, it cascades into a tranquil pond with a white sandy beach. Scramble behind the falls with your sweetie to reach romantic nooks veiled by curtains of water.
Lowongan Kerja - There are other countries in the world that enjoy divinely inspired natural landscapes, but Costa Rica boasts a higher biodiversity than Europe and the United States combined. Its small size also means that travelling from cloud forest to coastline and from summit to savanna is quick, easy and a matter of course. Here are the top 10 natural beauties of Costa Rica. - Job Indonesia

Living of The Geisha in Kyoto !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
A living tradition
The origins of today's geisha (geiko and maiko) can be traced back to the Edo Period (1600-1868), although they became most popular during the Taisho Period (1912-1926). To answer the most common question regarding geisha: they are most definitely not prostitutes. Rather, geisha are highly skilled entertainers, who entertain guests at private parties and dinners. In many ways, geisha are living embodiments of Japanese traditional culture: each one is well versed in traditional dancing, singing, musical instruments and occasionally other arts such as tea ceremony and ikebana (flower arrangement).
An evening of geisha entertainment often begins with an exquisite meal of kaiseki (Japanese haute-cuisine). During the meal, the geisha will chat with guests, pour drinks and light cigarettes. Following dinner, the geisha may dance to music provided by a jikata, who plays the traditional, three-stringed shamisen. Geisha may also engage the guests in a variety of drinking games, at which they excel, almost always resulting in guests getting progressively sozzled.
Geisha events
Considering the cost of a geisha's training and kimono, it's hardly surprising that geisha entertainment is quite expensive: dinner for two guests with one geisha runs about $700, and parties with a jikata and two or more geisha easily tops $1,000 (making geisha entertainment a better idea for groups of travellers than individuals). These days, some hotels and ryokan in Kyoto offer regular geisha events for guests. If you happen to be in Kyoto in the spring or fall, the geisha dances put on by the city's five geisha districts should be considered must-sees. For those who want to arrange private geisha entertainment, it can be done through private tour companies and high-end ryokan and hotels. Finally, if you spot a woman who looks like a geisha wandering through the tourist districts of Kyoto during the daytime trailed by a photographer, you can be pretty sure she is a tourist who is paid to be made up as a geisha, and not a real maiko or geiko!
Lowongan Kerja - Catching a glimpse of a geisha scurrying to an appointment in the narrow streets of Kyoto's Gion entertainment district is a moment of pure magic. With their startling white faces and brilliant kimono, they seem equal parts alien and apparition. If you're like most travellers, you may find it hard to believe your own eyes when you see one of these exquisite beings. - Job Vacancy
According to most estimates, there are about 1,000 geisha in Japan, and many of them live and work in Kyoto, where they are properly known as geiko. Kyoto is also home to tomaiko (apprentice geiko), who are girls between the ages of 16 and 20 who are in the process of completing the four or five years of study it takes to become a fully fledged geiko. It's easy to tell the difference between the two: maiko wear elaborate hairpins in their own hair and elaborate kimono, while geiko wear wigs with only the simplest ornamentation (usually just a boxwood comb) and simpler kimono. - Job Indonesia A living tradition

Brazil Police Battle Rio De Janeiro Gang Violence !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
Job Indonesia - For 3 days, suspected gang members have been blocking roads, burning cars and shooting at police stations. - Job Vacancy
Military police have been deployed in 17 different slum districts.
Rio's governor says the violence is retaliation by drugs gangs who have been driven out of some areas by a police pacification programme. Lowongan Kerja
More than 1,000 officers had been taken away from desk jobs to join the surge on the streets, the military police said, and 300 extra motorcycle police were on patrol.
Rio de Janeiro's state governor Sergio Cabral has also asked the central government for police reinforcements from outside Rio to keep the main highways open.
Two suspected gang member have been shot dead.
More than eight others have been arrested, including four suspects who were found with petrol bombs in the Copacabana beach neighbourhood.
Orchestrated attacks Starting on Saturday night, armed men have been blocking some of the main roads leading out of Rio, robbing motorists and setting their vehicles on fire.
The authorities are convinced that the attacks are being orchestrated by drugs gangs in retaliation for being forced out of their traditional strongholds in some slum districts by police pacification units.
"Without doubt these attacks are related to the reconquest of territory and the new policy of public security in Rio de Janeiro," Mr Cabral said.
"We are not going to retreat in this policy. We are going to push forward, pacifying communities and bringing peace to the population."
Rio's police have been taking back control of poor neighbourhoods, known as favelas, that have for years been controlled by heavily armed drug trafficking gangs.
The pacification programme is aimed at improving security and the rule of law in Rio, which will host the Fifa football World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016.

Portugal general strike set to disrupt services !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
Job Vacancy - Transport, industry and schools are set to be severely affected by the strike, the unions said. - Job Indonesia
The strike comes two days before the parliament in Lisbon is to vote on an austerity budget. - Lowongan Kerja
The budget aims to quell international unease over Portugal's public spending and deficit.
For the first time in 20 years, the country's main unions UGT and CGTP have united in a call for a national day of industrial action.
They expect workers from the private and public sector to take part in the strike, the head of the CGTP, Manuel Carvalho da Silva, said.
"The mobilisation of workers is enormous," he added.
The strike will hit banks, media and petrol supplies, the unions say.
They also aim to paralyse the country's ports, and hundreds of flights are set to be cancelled.
Many Portuguese have been angered by the government's plans to cut wages for public sector workers, freeze pensions and increase taxes.
Bond commitments However, analysts say the walkout is unlikely to stop the passage of the austerity budget, given that the opposition Social Democratic Party (PSD) has said that in order to not jeopardise the country's fragile finances it will abstain from the vote on Friday rather than vote against the measures.
The PSD position is crucial as Lisbon is trying to convince international investors that Portugal will not be forced to seek a bail-out like Ireland or Greece.
The austerity budget aims to reduce Portugal's deficit from 7.3% to 4.6% of GDP in 2011 through a combination of spending cuts and tax raises.
BBC Europe business correspondent Nigel Cassidy says that Portugal has failed to prosper or drive up productivity since joining the euro at what many now say was an unrealistic exchange rate.
The country found it especially difficult to compete with China in a previously strong sector, the manufacturing of textiles and shoes, our correspondent adds.
With 80% of its public debt held abroad, the country now finds itself at the mercy of bond traders and wants to convince the markets that it will be able to meet its commitments, our correspondent says.
Are you in Portugal? Will you be affected by the strike action?

Afghanistan war: US says violence reaches all-time high !!!
Author: bbc.co.uk
Job Indonesia - In a twice-annual report to the US Congress, the Pentagon said progress had been "uneven", with only modest gains against the Taliban insurgency. - Job Vacancy
Lowongan Kerja - The Pentagon also reported gains in security, governance, and development in key areas.
But it warned the Taliban was exploiting perceptions Nato countries would soon withdraw combat forces.
'Resilient insurgency' In a report covering the period between 1 April and 30 September, the Pentagon attributed much of the increase in violence to the growth in the coalition force after US President Barack Obama's escalation this year.
"Efforts to reduce insurgent capacity, such as safe havens and logistic support originating in Pakistan and Iran, have not produced measurable results," the report states.
"The insurgency has proven resilient with sustained logistics capacity and command and control."
Kevin Connolly BBC News, Washington
In the week when Nato's political leaders talked up the prospects for an end to combat operations and spoke in terms of winding down - or even winding up - the Western presence in Afghanistan, the Pentagon assessment makes sobering reading.
It depicts an enemy which has the support of Iran and continuing access to safe havens along the Pakistani border. The insurgency emerges from the Pentagon report as resilient, adaptable and sophisticated.
The section which will make the grimmest reading for Nato's political leaders, and particularly those in Washington, deals with the alliance's desire to set a timetable for withdrawal within four years while also arguing that the war is winnable.
The report says the Taliban draws strength from a belief among the Afghan people that Nato forces will soon leave the country, clearing the way for a Taliban victory.
The read-out is not entirely negative - there is talk of uneven progress and modest gains in security and development in patches - but overall there is not much to cheer the Obama administration and its allies.
"Indications of local resistance to insurgents continue to emerge alongside positive indications, such as newly opened schools and police stations."
The Pentagon also said Taliban fighters were exploiting moves among Nato countries to withdraw combat forces.
Canada is due to pull its combat forces out in 2011, and President Barack Obama has also said he will begin removing US troops in July 2011, with security duties to be turned over to Afghan police and army units.
"The Taliban's strength lies in the Afghan population's perception that coalition forces will soon leave, giving credence to the belief that a Taliban victory is inevitable," the report says.
"The Taliban is not a popular movement, but it exploits a population frustrated by weak governance."
America would deny it is going to leave, says the BBC's Mark Mardell in Washington, but a handover by collation forces in four years' time is exactly what was agreed at the Nato summit last weekend.
Very indirectly, the US defence department is suggesting the strategy of American, British and other politicians is the cause of the Taliban's success, our correspondent adds.
Approximately 97,000 US troops and 48,800 troops from other countries are in Afghanistan at present.
Since January 2009, when Mr Obama took office, the US has more than tripled the number of civilians in the country, to 1,100, including diplomats, criminal investigators and drug enforcement agents and agricultural experts.

But it cited evidence Nato counter-insurgency efforts had "localised" effects in areas of Helmand and Kandahar provinces, and said the Nato strategy had yielded "cumulative effects".
"Security is slowly beginning to expand," the report states."Indications of local resistance to insurgents continue to emerge alongside positive indications, such as newly opened schools and police stations."

Cara Diet Yang Benar Untuk Pria Super Sibuk
Author: AYM
So drink at least 8 glasses of mineral water in a day.
4. Gunakan tangga darurat ketimbang lift.

Republic of Ireland confirms EU financial rescue deal
Author: bbc.co.uk
Job Indonesia - The Taoiseach said the amount and terms would be negotiated in the coming days with the EU and the IMF. - Job Vacancy
Indonesia Job - Irish Finance Minister Brian Lenihan said the amount would be less than 100bn euros (£85bn; $136bn). The UK and Sweden have also offered direct loans.
The crisis has been brought on by the recession and the almost total collapse of Ireland's banks, analysts say.
Markets appeared to react well to news of the bail-out, with the euro strenghening and most Asian stocks trading higher on Monday.
Once known as the Celtic Tiger for its strong economic growth - helped by low corporate tax rates - a property bubble burst, leaving the country's banks with huge liabilities and pushing up the cost of borrowing for them and the government.
Smaller banks
Mr Cowen said the government would be publishing a four-year budget plan that would restructure the banking industry.
EU Finance Commissioner Olli Rehn, speaking in Brussels, said the loans would be provided to Ireland over a three-year period and the assistance would help preserve the stability of the eurozone - the group of 16 nations using the euro as their common currency.
The other part of the bail-out package would help to reduce the government's budget deficit to a target of 3% of GDP by 2014, Mr Lenihan said.
Under the bailout scheme, income tax will increase but the country's low 12.5% corporation tax - controversial for some other countries but "non-negotiable" for the Irish government - will not be touched.
It is a sign of the crisis facing the Irish Republic and some of the other highly-indebted European nations that the rescue plan had to be announced late on Sunday, before the financial markets opened on Monday, without many important details having been worked out, says BBC Europe correspondent Jonty Bloom.
The global financial crisis has dealt the Irish Republic a hard blow.
The government has responded with deep spending cuts and costly bail-outs of the banking sector.
Announcing the bail-out on Sunday, Mr Cowen appealed for public solidarity.
"The task of rebuilding our economy falls to our own efforts as a people," he told a news conference following a cabinet meeting on the rescue plan.
"That is where the focus of our efforts must turn over coming weeks, beginning with the four-year plan and then the budget. And now we need to show the solidarity in our own country that our neighbours have shown to us at this time."
Although the country's government claims to be fully funded until the middle of next year, it has provided a blanket guarantee to the Irish banks, some of whom are now finding it impossible to borrow money in the markets.
On Thursday, Mr Cowen's government admitted for the first time that it may need outside help.
Previously the government had said it did not need any financial support from the European Union and IMF.
EU officials fear Ireland's financial problems might spread to other eurozone countries with large budget deficits, such as Spain and Portugal.
The EU and the IMF launched a 110bn euro rescue programme for Greece in May after the government was faced with the prospect of bankruptcy.
Big government spending cuts sent large numbers of Greeks onto the streets in protest.

There was a real sense of urgency as eurozone finance ministers held a conference call trying to agree as much of this as they could before the markets open on Monday.
The European Central Bank said this was all about safeguarding the financial stability of the euro and the eurozone. The German finance minister said this was not about defending a country - namely Ireland - but about defending a common currency.
What was driving all of this was the fear of contagion - that Ireland's problem could spread to other eurozone countries such as Portugal, force up borrowing costs and perhaps force them to accept a bail-out as well.
The big question now is that there have been two eurozone bail-outs this year: Will this help draw a line under instability or are we going to see a succession of crises, raising long-term questions about the future of stability in the EU?

Reuters news agency quoted senior EU sources as saying the loans would total 80-90bn euros.
